A Painters Portfolio

Inspired by the relationship of the elements

Working in oils Steve is inspired by the relationship of the elements, the movement of the sky and water.

Each composition is an examination of these with every brush stroke recapturing the atmosphere of the moment. References of Isaak Levitan and Alfred Sisley are evident in Steve's work.

Steve is able the share his vision of the world and encourages the viewer to scrutinize their relationship with the world around them.

Fine Art

This section contains some of my most recent works.

"A good landscape painting should be more than just a visual experience. It should draw in all your senses. When I look at their work I can feel the warmth of the sun, hear the movement of the water and somehow I'm aware of what exists beyond the boundaries of the canvas."

Published illustrations and cartoons

As much as Steve's main focus is his love of fine art he also enjoys illustrating and drawing cartoons.

Steve is proud to have been featured in print for some famous publications such as 'Punch' and is a regular contributer of topical news cartoons to the Henley Herald newspaper.

As well as being able to purchase Steve's illustrations online from a number of retailers, you can also read the highly regarded 'Cow Island'.
